Latitudes part 2 Hans Vijgen

"Ten years ago, Hans Vijgen determined the coordinates of the work table in his studio: N 51˚ 34.191 '. Since then he travels across this latitude, from west to east. Virtual that is. All 360 places where' his' latitude is intersected by a longitude. Vijgen wants to make Vijgen visible with a drawing and an accompanying model. In it he incorporates current events and personal memories in addition to geographic reality. This creates a special travelogue in which fact and fiction intertwine. In 2012 Hans Vijgen created the exhibition LATITUDES in 38CC. then showed the start of his journey with the first forty models and drawings. Over the past five years, Vijgen worked steadily and moved eastwards degree by degree.
