Melarium David Veldhoen

"Just south of Delft, in the Ackerdijkse Bos, a wonderful shape emerges from the grass. It is a new 'home' for about nine bee colonies. And for beekeepers, scientists and visitors. It is called Melarium (derived from the Latin for honey) and was commissioned by the province of South Holland by the Amsterdam artist David Veldhoen in collaboration with MIR architecten.In the Melarium Veldhoen brings nature and culture together in a form that is building and sculpture at the same time. vantage point, also workspace and meeting place.
