The absence of life
Sandro Setola

January 29 to March 6, 2011

"At the basis of all of Sandro Setola's work is his fascination with natural processes and phenomena, such as isolation, expansion, transformation, growth and decay. He interprets these often dramatic phenomena in an entirely unique, poetic and sometimes somewhat cynical / humorous way. She places the associations they evoke with architectural proposals in a twilight zone between desire and reality, which in turn raises questions about their function or meaning. For the exhibition 'The absence of life' in 38CC, Setola created a new work: 'Blue Tomb '. This monumental tomb of insulating material hides in its interior a space for reflection and stillness, a dark place where new ideas can be born .. "
