Visual artist Eelco Brand from Breda shows in his exhibition eelcobrand.movi # 2 3D computer animations and digital prints, mainly of nature and landscapes. In 'moving paintings' enormous raindrops fall between blades of grass, snowflakes drift down and shapes float through a digital spruce forest. There is no story, nor is there a clear chronology, but meditative, contemplative images. Although hyper-realistic, the images originate entirely from the imagination and Brand makes no use of photographic material or scanned images. The 3D technology offers him the possibility to create a virtual space in a two-dimensional plane, to which he adds movement and sound. "
